Inhorgenta is a special trade fair for jewellery lovers, since here all the professional groups in the jewellery industry present their latest products, findings, methods, techniques and trends. The name of the famous jewellery fair is made up of four elements that are characteristic of the fair's theme: International, Horologerie (watchmaking), Argentum (silver), Aurum (gold). The fair is international because of its participants from all over the world, who also make it the second largest of its kind in Europe. Horologerie is the occupation around watches, Argentum is the Latin term for silver and Aurum for gold. At Inhorgenta, which has been held at the new trade fair grounds in Munich since 1973, the products of watch manufacturers, jewellers, goldsmiths, jewellers and dealers in this sector are exhibited. The event, which attracts many visitors, has meanwhile been expanded by the trade fair management to six exhibition halls, which corresponds to an area of 64,000m².
