Ametrine

Ametrin
Ametrine is a mineral variety of quartz as well as a rare combination of amethyst and citrine. Ametrine has been traded openly and processed into jewellery only since 1989. The most important mining areas are Bolivia and Brazil. The special feature of the quartz variation lies especially in its multicoloured nature. The violet colour of the amethyst and the delicate yellow of the citrine create unique colour gradients, whereby both colour components are usually present in equal proportions. Ametrine is increasingly used not only in jewellery, but also in gemstone therapy. Thus, the stone is said to have positive effects such as the loosening of blockades or the relief of pain and also depression, stress, anxiety or insomnia is said to help the mineral variety.
