Diamond Jewellery

Every piece of jewellery that is set with diamonds belongs to diamond jewellery. Diamonds are the hardest gemstones in the world, belong to the modifications of carbon and are marked with the four C's. These include the cut, the colour, the clarity and the weight (carat). Each piece of jewellery can have one or more diamonds set in it, each with different characteristics. The colour can vary from a very fine white to a maximum tinted yellow and is indicated with the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) colour designation table from D-Z. For clarity, the inclusions within the diamonds are considered and categories are distinguished from fl (flawless) to pi3 (piqué III). The most common material used for jewellery set with diamonds is gold. As a result, these pieces of jewellery tend to be found in a higher price range. Especially engagement rings set with diamonds are very popular. But also bracelets, ear jewellery, chains etc. can be set with diamonds and therefore refined. In addition to diamonds, other gemstones can also be set into diamond jewellery. The sparkle of the gemstones and the characteristic fire make diamond jewellery a particularly popular accessory. In addition, there is also FairJewel jewellery, which is set with lab-grown diamonds and offers an environmentally friendly alternative.
