Dangle Earrings

As the name already reveals, dangle earrings are ear jewelry that is hooked onto the ear and hangs down from it. Often dangle earrings are counted to the category of earrings, although they are by definition clearly distinguishable from each other. It is the type of closure that distinguishes dangle earrings from other ear jewelry. If a closing mechanism is used to fix the ring to the ear, an dangle earring often consists of only one long hook, which is pushed through the ear hole. This hook has the shape of a bow, which protrudes down the back of the earlobe. But there are also dangle earrings that have an additional stopper made of rubber, silicone or plastic, which is pushed from behind on the hook. This prevents on the one hand the loss of large and heavy dangle earrings, which would otherwise slip out of the ear hole due to their weight on the hook, but on the other hand also the loss of light dangle earrings, which can hardly be felt on the ear and therefore lose more quickly. On the other hand, the ornament of an dangle earring is located at the other end of the hook, on the front of the earlobe. This is in many ways varied, both in the ornamental elements themselves, as well as in the various shapes, lengths and materials. Whether long or short, whether discreet or striking, whether rosé, gold or silver, with or without stone or pearl trimmings - the choice is huge. To let the dangle earring speak for itself, it is usually worn separately on each ear, only rarely in combination with other ear jewelry.
