Milgrain Wedding Rings

 Millgrain Millgriff
Milgrain wedding rings have a special surface structure and are characterised by their unique design. Their appearance is described as milgrain pearling. Translated, the term means "thousand grains" and refers to a 19th century technique for pearling wedding rings. In most cases, the outer sides of the ring are beaded, i.e. a pearl pattern is applied. Even today, the pattern is still worked in by hand by goldsmiths who use a so-called milgrain wheel for this process, which is rolled over the wedding rings with the semicircular embossing. The milgrain pattern is often found on classic and plain wedding rings. Due to the special look, milgrain wedding rings can be worn well without additional diamonds, as they stand out that way too. Due to the fact that the pearl joint already enjoyed great popularity in the 19th century, the design is one of the classics today and is absolutely timeless. The beading also creates a special feel, as the fine bulges are lightly felt. The pattern of the milgrain wedding rings also hardly wears off over the years, so that it remains intact for a very long time.
