Silver Chain

A silver chain belongs to the classics of jewellery, because it is widely used and offers the right piece of jewellery for the many different occasions. One silver chain is not the same as the other, because silver chains are only the generic term for all chains made of silver, mostly sterling silver. The differentiation of the respective variations of the silver chain, which are present in the jewellery production in large numbers, is interesting. The way in which the individual links of the silver necklace interlock and the shape of these links is the main differentiation criterion. On the basis of these characteristics, chains for men and women are differentiated and it can be determined on the basis of the respective chain types also whether these are suitable for a pendant or better worn without additional decoration. The best known versions of the silver chain are the anchor chain, the curb chain, the figaro chain, the byzantine chain, the snake chain, the venetian chain and the singapore chain. The anchor chain, for example, is a form of the silver chain in which the oval links are closely interlocked and which is well suited for pendants due to its robust and solid workmanship. In addition, both men and women can wear this type of necklace. The singapore necklace, for example, is a pure women's necklace and is usually worn solo without a pendant.
