Another term for bracelet is arm chain. This term was often used, especially in the past, to describe a piece of jewellery that is worn on the wrist and - in contrast to the term commonly used today - consists of several links. Arm chains can have a delicate appearance, although some are also noticed for their larger and thicker links. They were already worn in the Palaeolithic Age, back then with pendants made of animal teeth and gemstones. Nowadays, arm chains are made of materials such as silver, gold and stainless steel and sometimes have pendants in different shapes. Some even have different designs incorporated directly into the chain. Well-known arm chains are, for example, curb chain and byzantine bracelets. The chains for the wrist have different fasteners, such as the lobster clasp or spring ring fastener, and are therefore sometimes also adjustable in length. This particular chain can also be set with different stones and therefore have sparkling elements. The arm chain definitely adds an accent to the wrist and can also be worn as a token of love or friendship.
