A casual eye-catcher - that's this king necklace. The fascination here comes from the composition of the oval and round chain links, which are put together in pairs according to a specific sequence: The whole process begins with two parallel eyelets, which are connected with a vertical pair. The whole thing is then fixed with another pair of vertical eyelets, which are folded back. This process causes the second pair of eyelets to pull apart and form an acute angle. Between the second and third pair of eyelets, a final eyelet is then hung vertically again. The fourth pair of eyelets then forms the last and the first of the chain links at the same time. This is a completely normal process and a sign that the silver is genuine. The reaction of the silver in the air causes silver sulphite to form, which results in a black colour.
